Who we are

The Swiss Initiative for RNA & Disease (SIRD) is a non-profit scientific association established in March 2026 to continue and expand the successful network of the NCCR RNA & Disease.

SIRD currently brings together 39 researchers across Switzerland fostering collaboration and advancing RNA research in health and disease. The initiative promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, supports young scientists, and strengthens Switzerland’s position as a hub for RNA biology.
